Your free minderhq.co.uk address
Every website comes with a free address of your choosing: yourname.minderhq.co.uk. In the Website tab, find 'Your web address', type the name you want and MinderHQ checks it's free as you type.
Press 'Save address' and it's yours straight away — that's the link for your Facebook page, your business cards and the school-gate conversation.

Tip: Your site answers on the new address as soon as your site is published — if you're still drafting, flip 'Publish site' when you're ready.
Use your own domain
If you'd rather be www.yourname.co.uk, the site can run on a domain of your own for £9.99/month on top of your plan.
Don't have a domain yet? Choose 'Request domain' and we register and connect it for you — you don't touch any settings. Already own one? 'Connect domain' shows you exactly what to paste in at your registrar, and MinderHQ verifies it's working.
Get found on Google and Facebook
The 'Get found' card controls how your site looks from the outside: your Google page title and description (written for you if you leave them blank), and the photo that appears when someone shares your link on Facebook or WhatsApp.
You don't need to touch these to be found — sensible ones are generated from your name and area — but a line that mentions your village and 'funded places available' is the kind of thing a searching parent clicks.

Can I change my web address later?
Yes — pick a new one and save it. Just remember to update the link anywhere you've already shared the old one.
Do I have to buy a domain?
No — the yourname.minderhq.co.uk address is included free, and it's all most childminders need. Your own domain is a nice-to-have, not a must.
Will parents find me on Google?
Your site is built to be indexed — proper titles, descriptions and a sitemap. Give Google a little time, and share your link on your Facebook page to help it along.
